Welcome to Triathlon Holidays

At Triathlon Holidays we offer triathletes and cyclists the opportunity to train in an informal atmosphere from our base here in Macot la Plagne, France.
You are welcome to come and train in all three disciplines of triathlon but with a special emphasis on the cycling of the many wonderful climbs here in the Savoie region of France.

We are able to accomodate up to 16 people in our two chalets - Maison du Clos (our flagship) for groups up to 6 people and, new for 2008, Chalet St Aubin for groups of 6 - 10 people.
We limit our guiding numbers to a maximum of 6 athletes to one guide in any one week to give the very best personal service in terms of guided rides and runs as well as our hospitality.

Triathlon training
a general programme of swim, bike and run training over a long weekend or a full week. The main emphasis is cycling but each day will include at least two disciplines. All abilities welcome.

Cycle the climbs
a jam packed programme of climbs that take in some of the most famous 1st and Haut category climbs from the Tour de France. For those looking to improve overall fitness, strength and bike handling skills.

Middle & Long distance training
a full on week aimed at those triathletes who are hoping to complete a Middle or Long distance event. This is not one for the faint-hearted as the swims, rides and runs will be long…..

Race weeks
come and race in France. We will enter you in to a local event, participate with you and then train in a relaxed atmosphere for the rest of the week. The races are generally Standard or Middle distance events.

Swim sessions take place in our local lake, just minutes away from our base. Lake Annecy is only 1 hr away for some real open water training with our Long distance training weeks. Otherwise, just down the road, Bourg St Maurice, boasts a great swimming centre with an outdoor 50m pool (open July & August) and an indoor 25m pool.

Cycle the fantastic climbs in the area : Col de la Madeleine, Col de Petit St Bernard, Col de l'Iseran, Cormet de Roselend, Courchevel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val Thorens and many more...Or, ride some long undulating routes that Paul has personally put together.

Run along the banks of the River Isere or gain some altitude training on the mountain trails that are used for cross country skiing in the winter months.

Please take a look through our website and see what triathloh holidays can offer you in terms of training.

A long, hard day in the saddle on the 140km Albertville, Col de Tamie trip. A great day was had by all and most of the group even conquered the Notre Dame du Pre climb on the return. A cheeky beer at the top and then returning to Macot for dinner and th...
